How to Make a Helmhotz Cocktail
- 1). Fill a cocktail shaker half-full with crushed ice.
- 2). Add 1 oz. gin, 1/2 oz. rum, 1/4 oz. apple brandy, 1/2 oz. brandy and 3/4 oz. apple juice to the cocktail shaker.
- 3). Cover the cocktail shaker and shake vigorously for 15 to 20 seconds. Don't worry about bruising the gin for this recipe.
- 4). Strain the contents of the cocktail shaker into a chilled cocktail glass.
- 5). Garnish the rim of the Helmhotz cocktail with a fresh lemon wedge. Serve right away.
