    • 1). Clean out the ice maker location so that it is free from dust. Remove the ice maker from its carton and attach the leg levelers. These are foot-mounted adjustable legs so that the machine can be leveled upon completion of installation. Remove all packaging from within the ice machine.

    • 2). Install the drain hose to the rear of the ice maker with the hose clamp supplied with the unit. Tighten securely. Move the ice maker so that it is within several feet of the final location.

    • 3). Attach the cold water supply to the water inlet port in the rear of the machine, using 1/4-inch inside diameter compression fittings. Compression fittings are common plumbing items used to connect peripheral plumbing devices. Use an adjustable wrench to secure the compression fitting, but do not overtighten.

    • 4). Open the water shut-off valve controlling the cold water supply. Check all connections for water leaks. Insert the machine's electrical plug into a grounded three-prong electrical outlet.

    • 5). Slide the machine into its final location, being sure not to crimp any of the electrical or plumbing connections. Turn on the ice maker with the "on/off" switch. Adjust the quantity of ice you desire by twisting the level knob to the desired setting. This knob controls the level of ice produced and stored within the machine.

    • 6). Discard the initial batch of ice; it is contaminated with production dirt. Press the clean button on the machine's control console, then pour an ice machine sanitizer solution into the upper ice shutters where the ice is frozen into cubes. Discard the subsequent batch of ice produced.
