Blood Parrot & Betta?
An interesting discussion from the forum about Blood Parrot tankmates ....
"Ok, don't flog me. I have 3 baby parrots (not more than 1 to 1 1/2 inches long) in one tank and in another I have a male betta and a dwarf frog. In the past I have never had any trouble with adult parrots as tankmates with any other fish- the parrots have never been aggressive (unless they have to boot someone out of their hidey holes, then they just bump the intruders along till they get their space back and everyone's happy-go-lucky again). I'm wondering if the betta could live peacefully with the parrots. Any ideas? It sounds like a NO- I mean, parrots are cichlids after all.... but they aren't fin nippers. As I requested, don't flog me for asking, but I'm curious if anyone has ever done this or has thoughts on the idea."
