- 1). Make sure your insurance policy is written by a Florida agent. If not, you must have it countersigned by one before you can apply for title.
- 2). Bring your documentation to a county license plate agency or tax collector's office. The clerk will first issue plates and process the vehicle registration. When that is complete, you will be issued an application for title.
- 3). Immediately complete and sign the application for title. The clerk will collect all fees along with your application. Your title will be delivered by mail to the address on the application within two to three weeks.
