The beginning of a lake circuit is given by two small rivers called Tsrna and Bela. On the great slopes of woody mountains they merge into the river Matitsu and form the first falls. Every year new falls are born in this mysterious area. Mountains in Plitvitsah are added preferentially by limestones, therefore waters of the rivers and lakes are rich with the dissolved lime.

The few people know, that the first film about the legendary Indian man named Vinnetu was shot exactly on the territory of this national park. Charles Maja's books about adventures of the brave soldier have inspired German directors, and they have decided to picturize this history. Script writers have stopped the choice on Plitvitsky lakes, as the most appropriate to book landscapes. And all this virgin natural beauty can be found right in center of Europe on the boundary of Croatia and Bosnia.
