Question: What Is Balint Syndrome?
Answer:
Balint syndrome is a group of three symptoms which come together as a result of a stroke at the border of the parietal and the occipital lobes of the brain. The symptoms of Balint syndrome are:
- Inability to voluntarily look around in space
- Inability to grab an object while one is looking at the object, due to a discoordination of eye and hand movements
- A tendency to only see one object in the visual field at one time.
