- 1). Talk to family, friends and neighbors about your search for other stay at home moms. Almost everyone you know probably knows at least one work at home mom. Write a list of other moms who work from home while raising their children. Your family and friends can ask the women they know who work from home whether or not they would be interested in exchanging contact information with you. Chances are many of those moms would like to connect with other work at home moms too.
- 2). Join online groups for work from home parents and work at home moms. Be an active participant in discussion groups and forums so that you can learn from others as they learn from you. There are many work at home social groups and resources (see Resources).
- 3). Become an active participant in at least one work at home moms forum. These forums provide way to make friends with other moms who work from home. You can learn about work at home business opportunities that are working for other moms. The forums are a place to share advice on how to run a successful home business. And of course, the forums give you the opportunity to interact with other adults during the day.
- 4). Get together with friend and family members that are also work at home moms. Share advice so that you can learn from each other. Another advantage to keeping in touch with other friend and family who work from home is that sometimes you can swap some babysitting time. If you help your friend when she has a hectic deadline to meet for her business, she can return the favor one day when you need some help.
- 5). Start your own work at home moms group. You could start a group in your local area. This would provide you with an opportunity to interact directly with other moms who work from home. If starting a live group is not an option, there are many avenues online that allow you to start your own discussion group. You will be surprised at the number of moms who will be joining a quality work at home moms group.
