Decorating your office door for Christmas is a creative way to spread the holiday spirit into your company's hallways. The door's blank canvas presents numerous decorating opportunities and can be made festive by adding simple paper crafts, creating three-dimensional decorations or making interactive decorations the whole office can enjoy.

    Paper Crafts

    • Consider wrapping your office door like a big Christmas present. Use bright wrapping paper to cover the front of the door, cutting holes in the sheet to allow access to doorknobs, locks and peepholes. Secure the ends of the wrapping paper to the back of the door and add decorative bows and a to/from tag to complete the look.

Attach snowflakes of varying sizes to string and attach them to the door in a falling pattern. Use a combination of white, silver and gold snowflakes for a more dynamic look.

    Three-Dimensional Crafts

    • Christmas wreaths are a popular way of decorating doors for the holidays. Create your own wreath using garland, ribbons, painted pinecones or greenery and hang it from your office door. Create multiple wreaths of varying sizes and hang on the door for a fuller look.

Garland, ribbons and greenery can also be formed into the shape of a Christmas tree and attached to your door. Add a decorative star to the top of the 3D design and fake presents underneath to complete the look.

    Interactive or Entertaining Decorations

    • Add musical lights to your office door tree or attach edible (wrapped) candy canes or other Christmas goodies to the display. Encourage others to remove the candy when they need a holiday treat.

Get the office involved in a small gift or card swap. Attach small boxed gifts or cards to you door and encouraging co-workers to swap items there. This can also be a way to collect small items and/or donations for local charities during the holiday season.
