Intention And Self Hypnosis.
Before embarking on your self hypnosis miracle-working you need to know what you want from your self hypnosis sessions. Make an intention! Set a goal and write it down. Let's say you want to increase your confidence. This is your self hypnosis goal.
Now that you know what your goal or intention is for your self hypnosis session you must get a little clearer on exactly what you want. Make an affirmation from your goal and write it on paper. Word it in a way that states the goal is already true or is in the process of becoming true. "My self confidence is unshakable in every situation" or "Everyday my self confidence is increasing in every situation", are perfect examples of good self hypnosis affirmations.
Make sure you don't include anything that you don't want in your statement. "I am no longer lacking in confidence" or "My low self-esteem is getting better" are examples of including things you don't want, i.e. "lacking in confidence" and "low self-esteem". These statements are forcing you to focus on the situation as it is and not on how you wish it to be. So, in self hypnosis, always keep the statement positive by including what you do want and not what you don't!
Also, before you start the self hypnosis session, imagine how you would look and feel if these statements were true. Make a quick mental movie of how you would walk, talk and interact with other people if the statement were true. Create a mental movie, with you the self-assured confident star. See yourself confidently interacting in situations that you would not normally. You will use this mental movie during your self-hypnosis trance session.
Induction For Self Hypnosis:
You have now prepared yourself for self hypnosis. Find a relaxing quiet spot and begin to take long deep breaths. Breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth. Allow you gaze to become fixated on a spot just above eye-level without moving your head. This will place slight strain on your eyes and tire them.
Keep up your deep breathing rhythm and begin to relax your body in order to enter the state of self hysnosis. Start with your legs and work your way up to your head and face. As your self hypnosis session progresses you feel your eyes becoming tired. Allow them to close.
Let's Go Deeper into Self Hypnosis:
Create a picture, in your mind, of a stairs and step down them. This will take you deeper into self hypnosis.
Continue to breathe deeply and begin to mentally recite your self hypnosis statement of intent.
Conditioning The Mind At a Deep Self Hypnosis Level:
As you remain relaxed in your self hypnosis trance create the image of an elegant thick wooden door that stands alone in the darkness of your mind. When you enter through the door you find a beautiful movie theatre with plush red velvet seats and a cheering crowd. When you gaze up at the screen you see a movie on loop. It is the mental movie you created earlier.
You can clearly hear the audience cheer at the movie. Applaud and cheer yourself as you watch that 'other' you being how you want to be.
Take joy in this and watch as the movie unfolds before your very eyes. This is trance and a state of Self Hypnosis you are experiencing.
As the cheers grow louder you realise that you are moving toward the movie and are about to enter the screen. Suddenly you find yourself in the movie positioned directly behind that other you!
Step into the movie version of you just like you would step into new clothes. The movie you is a perfect fit! Watch as the colours around you get brighter and the sounds get louder as you become part of the movie.
As you enter the new you, feel how it feels to be that confident person thinking as they think. This is self hypnosis conditioning at a very deep level.
You feel energized as you begin to act and feel like that movie you acts and feels. You can hear the audience roaring with delight on the other side of the screen as your confidence grows.
One again repeat your self hypnosis affirmation or statement in a way that the movie you would say it. Feel how that movie you would feel while saying those words.
Leaving Self Hypnosis:
Count yourself up from 1 to 10 and take a deep breath to return from the self hypnosis state. As you open your eyes continue to feel the way you did awhile under self hypnosis. After awhile these feelings will become permanent.
