Hola Mohalla is a festive event involving exhibitions of Gatka the traditional form of Sikh martial arts. Gatka employs a variety of techniques and weaponry. A Gatka Master and student demonstrate combat techniques in a sparring match using sword and shield. The Master leaps in the air to display a skill which would enable a combatant to avoid an assault, or send a message of fearlessness to an opponent.
