Have you ever heard of the ladder theory? It's this theory that supposedly explains how girls view guys.
This is how the theory goes: The moment a girl interacts with a guy, she'll immediately put him on one of 2 different ladders: a friend ladder or a potential mate ladder.
This literally happens within the first 5 minutes of meeting a girl.
Now, if you're on the potential mate ladder, then it's really easy to start climbing.
You may mess up along the way and slide down a couple rungs, but at least you're still on the ladder, you just need to reach the top.
On the other hand, if you're immediately placed on the friend ladder, then your days have been met.
No matter what you do, or how hard you try, you'll just keep moving up the friend ladder.
You're moving UP, becoming a better FRIEND, but that's all.
There are stories of best friends becoming couples because of the one chance you get within this whole ladder theory.
Once you've reached the top of the friend ladder, you get once chance.
You can attempt to make a leap to the potential mate ladder.
However, as we all know from personal experience, this usually ends pretty bloody.
Most of the time, guys will miss this ladder and end face down in a pool of shame, losing the friend ladder in the meantime.
To us guys, that's usually a risk worth taking.
Now, although this is a really simplistic theory, you may find that it rings true to you.
Don't let it get to you though.
There are ways out there to get to that potential mate ladder.
You know it and I know it.
You've seen it happen, you just didn't really understand HOW or WHY.
Build that confidence.
Build that attraction.
Create that happiness you deserve.
