Imaginative Play Dove Crafts

• Use white dove crafts to make imaginative play items. Make a white dove puppet out of a white paper lunch bag. Cut an orange triangle and glue it to the top of the flap to become a beak. Add large googly eyes to the face and add white feathers to the top of the bird's head. Cut two wing shapes out of white paper, cover them with white feathers and glue them to the sides of the bag. Cut bird shaped feet out of orange paper and glue them to the bottom of the bag to complete the puppet.
  
  You can also create a dove toy out of a toilet paper roll. Paint the roll white. Cut an orange triangle beak and glue it onto one end. Add two googly eyes above the beak. Decorative Dove Crafts

• Make dove-themed crafts for home decor or to decorate for an event. The Royal Crafts website suggests creating a dove out of doilies. Cut a simple dove shape out of colored card stock. Glue a doily onto both sides and trim them to match the dove shape. Make wings by cutting a doily into half and folding each half into a fan. Glue the fans to both sides of the bird. Glue a bead where the eye would be. Hang the dove in a window for decoration by gluing a matching ribbon loop between the wings.
  
  Another way to create a decorative dove is to cut a dove shape out of two pieces of white felt. Put cotton batting between the two layers and hot glue the pieces together. Sew a bead to both sides to create an eye and use a white ribbon glued to the back in a loop to hang the dove from a window or Christmas tree.
  
  

Dove Game Crafts

• Create dove-themed crafts to use in fun games. The Family Fun website recommends making a dove out of a paper plate and a couple of plastic spoons. First, cut a paper plate in half. Cut one side of a paper plate into three equal wedges. Tape one wedge to the rounded size of the paper plate half. Draw a dove's face on the back side of a white plastic spoon. Put the two spoons together so the concave portions are facing each other. The rounded convex sides will create a round head for the bird. Put a pebble between the two spoon bowls and bind them together with a rubber band. Tape the spoons to the straight edge of the half paper plate to form the dove. Throw it like a paper plane and see which player can throw it closest to a target.
  
  Another game is to create a poster of a dove, leaving the beak off. Make small beaks out of orange construction paper. Put double sided tape on the backs of the beaks and play a game of "Pin the Beak on the Dove."
  
  

White Dove Paper Crafts

• The Nurture Store website discusses how to make a paper dove ornament. Cut a dove shape out of white card stock. Cover the paper with white craft glue and white glitter. Repeat on the other side once the first side is dry. Glue a white feather on both sides to represent the wings. Glue a sequin on both sides to represent the eyes. Use a ribbon to hang the dove, or complete only one side of the craft and use it as a scrapbooking embellishment for a wedding page.
  
  Make a dove shaped gift tag that can be used to accompany a Christmas or wedding gift. Cut a small dove shape out of white paper. Glue a doily over the paper and trim it to match the dove shape. Write a message on the back side of the dove. Punch a hole at the top of the dove's body, attach a ribbon and tie it together in a loop. Tape the ribbon to the gift.
