Moving

• 1). Sit in the wheelchair. Place your legs in the leg rests. If you have no lower body function, pull your legs up using your arms or have a friend place you in the wheelchair.
  
  
• 2). Place your arms on the wheels. Push the wheels forward to move the wheelchair forward.
  
  
• 3). Move to the right or left. Place your arm on the left wheel. Turn the wheel forward. This will turn the wheelchair to the left. Place your arm on the right wheel. Turn the wheel forward to turn the wheelchair to the right.
  
  
• 4). Stop the wheelchair. Push the wheels backward quickly to lock the brakes. Push the wheels back slowly to move backward.
  
  

Folding

• 1). Remove any people or objects from the wheelchair. Remove the seat cushion, if you still use it.
  
  
• 2). Press and hold the wheel release button on the side of the wheelchair. Pull the wheel off the wheelchair. Do the same with the wheel on the other side of the wheelchair.
  
  
• 3). Turn up the footrests. Press the footrest release button and pull the footrest from the wheelchair.
  
  
• 4). Fold the wheelchair. Grasp the wheelchair's folding strap, located on the wheelchair seat. Pull the strap upward while pushing the sides of the wheelchair inward.
