How To Deal With Panic Attacks

Trouble breathing, shaky feelings in your extremities, sweats, heart palpitations, dizziness? If you have experienced all or some of these symptoms chances are you are suffering from panic attacks. I started out by going to the library. Sure I found tons of books with ideas on how to cope or live with panic attacks. I also found books on the physical toll these panic attacks were taking on my body and my personal interaction skills. My panic attacks were getting to be so bad that even reading about it would make me have one. Most people do not realize that they are even having a panic attack. Most people think that there is something seriously wrong with them.

I talked to my doctor about my panic attacks and of course one of the first things out of his mouth was putting me on pills for it. I investigated the pills he wanted to put me on and some of the side effects were worse than my panic attacks. I did not want to become one of those people that relied on heavy medications just to get me threw the day. He also told me about breathing exercises that I could do that would help me to get my body back under control.

I also talked to other people that suffered from panic attacks. Most of these people were on the pills that my doctor wanted to give me. Some of them said they would just close themselves in their homes and wait for their symptoms to pass. I thought in my head, that is no way to live. I mean sure the symptoms can last sometimes only for minutes and other times they can carry on for hours. But there is also that worry of going out and having another one. That is what really started me to think there has to be something out there that will let me function normally and that will help me with these panic attacks.

I decided on day to search online for something that might help. When I did a keyword search on how to deal with panic attacks a lot of sites came up. Some were just chat sites and others had information on them regarding prescription drugs used to help with panic attacks. It wasn't until I found this site did I really get the help I was looking for.
