Feel Nature, Learn History and Pay Less for Shopping - Hanoi, Vietnam

You will fall in love with the city - no doubt in that! Hanoi is such an admirable city with beautiful landscapes, clean lakes and lovely architectures. There is another reason why you will love to travel around here, the city is less expensive than any other cities in South East Asia. So, why don't you pack your baggage for a Hanoi trip?

There are enough of family friendly and budget hotels in Hanoi where you can stay safe. For your surprise the capital city of Vietnam has lots of activities to satisfy each ones travel needs. Enjoy the views, relax on the benches and involve in a non-stop photography while you are in the West Lake which is the largest lake in Hanoi. Nature and calmness have mixed up perfectly to make this pretty place. Plan a weekend picnic to the Botanical Gardens or spend a noon time to beat the heat. Are you a mad fan of nature? Then here's a treat for you, the Cuc Phuong National Park. The place is actually a nature reserve where hiking, biking and walking trails are the main things to do. Explore the caves, see the 1000 year old tree, watch a few monkeys in the cage and breathe in fresh air. You can camp here or stay in Hanoi hotels near the park if you wish.

If you are interested in knowing about the war facts and want to see the war exhibits then make your way straight to the Vietnam Military History Museum. Battle maps, guns, cannons, other weapons, airplanes, helicopters and many larger exhibits are found here. Galleries and art museums are also there in the city. As like the museums there are many landmark buildings and monuments. The Lenin statue in the Hanoi park, the Hanoi Flag Tower which is a UNESCO world heritage site, the beautiful Long Bien Bridge, the Old City Gate and the Tortoise Tower are some on the list.

Shopping is also of great fun here as there are featured markets where you can get special things which you can't get elsewhere. The Hang Quat Street is also called the Street of Fans as you can buy handmade fans that are made using different raw materials and other natural materials like bamboo, paper, leaves, etc. The market also comprises shops selling wooden carved craft items, tailored wood works, etc. If your passion is hats then switch your way to the Hang Gai Street which also takes the name, the Street of Hemp. Silk ties, handkerchiefs, silk ropes and tailored dresses could be bought here. Night markets fully concentrate on the street foods which are of course delicious and safe. Make your Hanoi accommodation near the night markets if you choose to go there. The pottery village, Bat Trang Ceramic has a great collection of locally made pots, tea cups and other kitchen wares. Fresh colorful flowers could be bought from the Quang Ba Flower Market. However, you could find some or the other shopping opportunities near all the Vietnam hotels for your comfort stay.
