Moorhuhn Wanted Tips

104 10

    Bird Hunting

    • Flying and walking chickens are always worth more if they are farther back in the screen. Shooting birds will hide behind rocks and only come out to take their shots at you. Shoot them first to avoid losing points and life. Some chickens, such as the dancing fowl and quick-draw desperado, take more than one shot to kill. As with the chickens that hide behind rocks, the trick is to shoot first and repeatedly. If you shoot windows and doors for bonus points, remember to watch them for crazy chickens that may fire back.

    Level Advancement

    • Every "Moorhuhn Wanted" level has a specific point requirement displayed on the screen and requires you to hit an object or kill a target before you can leave. Once you've accomplished these goals, you must shoot the golden key from the mole's hand to advance to the next level. In the early stages, you must hit specific areas, such as totem poles and gallows. The final stage requires that you defeat Clint, the chicken gunslinger, in a quick-draw competition. Shoot his belt buckle to make him drop his gun belt before taking him out.

    Bonus Points

    • Shooting almost any non-chicken item in the game will give or take away your points. Wanted posters, barrels, cans and cacti all give you additional points. Shooting peaceful fowl, such as fishermen or farmers, will cost you points. You also lose points each time you reload, making it important to choose your shots wisely and quickly.

In the first level, you can shoot the lock off of the prison to release the jailbirds, who are good for quick points. Make sure to defeat them all, as they will head for the bank and you'll lose points if they get in. Other creative traps and triggers are scattered throughout the game--shooting these will set off events that can earn you major points. Keep an eye out for tepees and bones in the sand, as these can be important sources of bonus points.
