There are good folks who are both Democrats and Republicans and there are fringe groups within these groups, which work to under mind our social fabric.
They are both a danger to society and themselves, as well as their main political affiliation.
Often mainstream candidates avoid these groups like the plague, yet often when a politician is losing ground they will attempt to use these groups to set trends in motion to re-ignite the group and their fervor.
Unfortunately, when a politician or political party gives too much credence to these groups it is a slippery slope.
As an Online Think Tank coordinator, we facilitated this topic in our group recently.
Previously an astute gentleman made this comment online about these fringe radical groups; "They have no clue as to how much they embarrass themselves and do harm to their cause.
" Indeed they do, yet when it becomes okay to act like this in the larger group they feed the hatred and thus if you spend time in SF, LA, Seattle, Boston, Fort Lauderdale and so many other places you will see exactly that.
It basically amounts to Bush Bashing and Christian Bible Thumper hate speech.
Which for a political party like the Democrats, which purport to be all-inclusive of opinion, perspective and points of view, you can immediately sense a tinge of hypocrisy there.
Of course if you point this out, next they will accuse you of being unable to use critical thinking skills, as they accuse our leadership of all sorts of garbage yet without allowing for the input of all the facts; must be nice to take in one-eighth of the information and render judgment.
I would say that is problematic.
The hypocrisy is so out of hand and the hate speech so common that in fact it now seems to be normal coffee shop conversation.
But whom does this serve? I certainly hope this article is of interest and that is has propelled thought.
