    • 1). Find the weight in kilograms of the propane the volume of which you wish to find. For this example, assume it's 5 kilograms.

    • 2). Divide the kilograms of propane by the density of propane, 1.882 kg per cubic meter, to find the volume of propane. For example, if you have 5 kg of propane, divide 5 by 1.882 to get 2.656748 cubic meters.

    • 3). Multiply the number of cubic meters by 35.3146 to convert cubic meters to cubic feet. Finishing the example, multiply 2.656748 by 35.3146 gets you a volume in cubic feet of around 93.82.
