Who Uses Twitter?
Unless you've been living under a rock recently, you've probably heard of this thing called Twitter.
People all over the news are talking about it.
Perhaps the people at your office or school have been talking about it as well.
Some people say that teenagers and college kids use it, teenagers say old people use it, but you're still left with the question: "Who uses Twitter?" I guess I should mention, that Twitter is a micro-blogging service, and by micro-blogging it means that you can only type 140 characters at a time.
I should also briefly mention, that the way that Twitter works is that you put in your micro-blogs also called "posts," or tweets" and generally other people can follow your tweets, and you can follow other people's tweets.
The point of all this following is that you get to see what goes on in other people's lives between the phone calls and your other interactions with them.
Assuming you have other interactions with them.
Having said that, who uses Twitter? The short answer would be everybody uses Twitter.
The real answer is that everybody should be used Twitter.
Twitter is a great way to interact with people all over the world, both like-minded people, and not like-minded people.
You can use Twitter to talk to newscasters, politicians, celebrity sports figures, movie stars, singers, and of course regular people like you and I.
All of these people are on Twitter, for their own reasons.
You need to figure out why you want to be on Twitter for yourself.
Just know that Twitter has been described as a global, 24 hour a day cocktail party.
Of course, there are a lot of marketers on Twitter.
A lot of them are under the impression, that Twitter is a marketing tool.
I do not believe that Twitter is any more of a marketing tool than your telephone is.
I believe that Twitter is a social tool that facilitates marketing, but saying that Twitter is a marketing tool is simplistic at best.
When you approach Twitter, go back to the analogy a worldwide cocktail party, this is the approach that I feel you should take.
Be friendly, be interesting, be yourself, and certainly don't only spam.
Everybody knows a person that always talks about their business and always talks about what they do.
If that's all that they ever talk about, well, how soon until you stop talking to them? Unless this person does something incredibly interesting usually the conversations get boring quickly.
So the answer to the question "who uses Twitter?" The answer is that pretty much all kinds of people use Twitter.
From the young to the old, from the interesting to the boring, from the glamorous to the not so glamorous.
Come join the party and see for yourself who's on Twitter.
