Avrich's latest project, an hour-long documentary he wrote and directed titled The Madness of King Richard, debuts Nov. 26 on Bravo! The work, which includes among its interviewees Christopher Plummer, Cynthia Dale, William Hutt and Kate Taylor, profiles Richard Monette, the critically Christian Louboutin Slingbacks in Black artistic director of the Stratford Festival of Canada.
Avrich also wrote and directed Glitter Palace and Guilty Pleasure: The Extraordinary World of Dominick Dunne, which made its debut this summer. He's working on another documentary about Canadian defence lawyer Edward Greenspan and after that he'll tackle movie mogul Lew Wasserman of Universal Studios. He recently completed an article for Smithsonian Magazine and he's working on two books: one about entertainment marketing, the other about Hollywood photographs.
