My vacation on the Carnival Destiny was the worst vacation I had in my entire life! It all started with the 3 hour check in procedure. There were so many people who I will call "undesirable" on the ship as well. My teenage children couldn't even go to the clubs because of the element on the ship. Drugs were being offered everywhere you turned. The food was terrible. To add insult to injury, the dining room staff was extremely rude.


The only time they were cordial was the day before the end of the trip. They figured they would get extra gratuities. Needless to say, we went down to the desk and demanded that the gratuities were taken off of the final bill.

The only staff that were polite were the medical staff. My sister had sprained her wrist while we were on an excursion in Barbados. While she was climbing through the window on the catamaran, she slipped and fell. Because of Carnival policy, the head of security had to come down to question my sister about her accident. Would you believe they implied that she must have been drunk?! Mind you, she doesn't drink anything stronger than soda.

The only saving grace were the island excursions. Unfortunately, that didn't last long enough! I also had the most painful massage in the spa. I couldn't even turn my head around the next day.

I could go on and on but you get the picture. My advice to everyone in the world: DO NOT CRUISE WITH CARNIVAL!!!!!
