Uses for Plastic Bags
- Use plastic bags as liners for all the trash bins in your home. Wrap stinky diapers in plastic bags of their own, tie the bags tight and discard in the recycled trash bin liner.
- Recycle clean plastic bags to use as lunch sacks for work or school. Put an extra bag into their lunch sack to use as an emergency rain-hat.
- Line your kitty litter box with several plastic bags. Using recycled plastic bags as a liner makes the litter box a snap to clean.
- Bring home your wet bathing suits in a plastic bag to prevent everything else in the car becoming saturated.
- Hang a recycled plastic bag in the car to prevent littering. In winter time tie a plastic bag around each wing mirror to prevent ice and frost build-up; this makes your deicing job much easier in the morning.
- Use plastic bags to stuff 'draft doggies' to place at the base of doors to keep chilly drafts at bay. Stuff couch cushions with recycled plastic bags.
- Stuff packages and pack fragile items with plastic bags to prevent breakages.
- Clean up after your dog with plastic bags on your hand. Discard the bags after the dirty deed is done.
- Donate all your plastic bags to your local food bank. Food banks are always in need of plastic bags and other items to store food and to give to their clients.
