Based in Mountain View, CA, but with more than 60 offices around the globe, Google employs around 30,000 people. The Internet search giant is well known for its fabulous workspace and employee perks. The main office includes an on-site doctor, dentist, massage, yoga, shoreline running trails and free lunch. So given the investment in its on-site workspace, it's no surprise that, for the most part, Google employment is not usually telecommuting jobs.

However, there are a very small number of opportunities for work-at-home Google employment, but most are hired through a temp agency.

Types of Work-at-Home Employment at Google:

While there is huge interest in work-at-home Google employment, unfortunately there are not nearly as many of these Google jobs. There are, in fact, only an extremely limited number of telecommuting positions at Google.

But the high interest in Google employment has sparked a number of work-at-home scams purporting to offer Google work-at-home jobs.

That said, there are a few legitimate work-at-home Google jobs for "Ad Quality Raters."

Ad Quality Rater Jobs:

These temporary Google jobs are hired through WorkforceLogic, not Google. Most of these jobs are for people fluent in English and another foreign language. Though, there are a few English-only jobs. This employment last up to 9 months and is for 10-20 hours a week of work on a self-directed schedule.

The responsibilities include evaluating the accuracy of Google web advertising and communicating the effectiveness of web layouts and information using an online tool.
