Skin Cancer

• Skin cancer may cause growths in a person's hands. Any abnormal growth on the skin or any mole that changes in size or color can indicate possible skin cancer. When a person has confirmed skin cancer, a surgeon or dermatologist will remove the growth or mole with surgery.

• Tumors are abnormal growths in soft tissue or bone. Tumors found in the hands may be benign or malignant. Treatment to remove tumors varies, depending on if the tumor is benign or malignant. Treatment includes surgical removal, radiation or chemotherapy.
  
  

Dupuytren's Contracture

• Dupuytren's Contracture is a condition characterized by the thickening of fibrous tissues in the palm. The growth that forms in the palm will gradually progress to a thick band, which prevents the fingers from straightening. Treatment for Dupuytren's Contracture is removing the diseased fascia with surgery.
