It is a natural thing to say to your friends "I want my husband back", its natural for you to feel that way after the split, even if things were not good before the split.
Once you get past your immediate emotional reaction to the split, just think about the way it was between the two of you leading up to the break down of your relationship, and simply ask yourself "Do I?" So you have asked yourself "Do I?" and you have decided that "I want my husband back" is the way for you to go.
Then you have to sort out the blame game - whose fault was it was it yours or his? Could it have been both of you?, most of the time it is difficult to work it out because of your emotional state at the time.
Honestly it was probably a bit of both.
Assuming that neither of you had affairs that brought about the breakdown, or otherwise let the other down very badly, then maybe your wish "I want my husband back" stands some chance of working out.
On the other hand if there was an affair or some sort of betrayal, then getting him back can only happen if you both want to reconcile and are willing to put the past behind you and work at mending fences.
It will be a rocky road to complete reconciliation.
If there is doubt in either of you then it probably not happen.
OK you've made the decision "I want my husband back" and there are no obvious reasons why the marriage ended, so now you have actually got to speak to him about it.
With all this soul searching you have been doing, have you thought about how he feels about things? Do not be surprised if he is not as keen on getting back into your relationship as you are.
Do not let his lack of enthusiasm stop you, he may still care for you, but something was not right for him back them and now he is out of the relationship he can admit it.
It may seem bad but it is not over yet, there is still a chance that you can get back together.
If you can get him to move back however "temporary" you need to try some techniques such as reading a marriage guidance book or trying online advice about marriage.
whatever it is you try you must do it together, and talk about how you feel about what you have just read.
Doing this together means that you are getting back to talking about the way things are and how you feel about that.
Next suggest counseling, he may not show any interest in that, it's harder for us men to talk about our emotions with someone outside the relationship.
Do not be upset by his refusal, it may make things a bit more difficult but you can get there.
Go for counseling on your own, you will get to know techniques that will help you talk to him properly.
If he is against going to counseling himself but is willing for you to go then you can go over these techniques with him.
If he is not wiling to do even this then be more stealthy and just use what you have learned whenever you are together.
The fact that you have learned some techniques about relationships will make you feel stronger than before, and most likely feeling better about yourself.
As you are going to these counseling sessions on your own, use the time to talk to your counselor, about any issues that may be troubling you, whether or not these issues have anything to do with your relationship problems.
Knowing yourself that bit better can make you feel more secure in yourself and therefore better able to guide the reconciliation.
Taking these steps slowly and talking to each other every day about life and your problems should soon lead you from "I want my husband back" to "I've got my husband back".
