How good are you at following through with that simple idea? If you're like me not very good, but I learned my lesson with my last bout with a low carbohydrate diet.
One of the reasons many people do not like low carbohydrate diet is for the rather embarrassing reason they messes up your regularity, and can result in rather severe constipation.
There is a simple cure for this rather discomforting side effect of the low carbohydrate diet, drink tons of water.
I love the effectiveness of a low carbohydrate diet can lose a lot of weight with it.
The problem is that it exacts a cost.
The last time I got determined, it was like preparing for battle.
I threw out all my bread products, pasta products, and sugary sweets and resolved to go on a high protein, low carbohydrate diet.
Then, for some unknown reason I remembered the exhortation to drink plenty of water.
I mean really, what's the problem? Water does not taste bad.
I forced myself to to drink two glasses of water in the morning, two with each meal, and several during the day.
I might be a little weird, but I like to drink my water at room temperature it's almost like chug a lugging.
I get great quantities down quickly and easily.
The results were nothing short of amazing there was absolutely no digestive or constipation discomfort during the entire length of my diet.
I tend to take the low carbohydrate diet to an extreme, losing 15 pounds in 30 days with absolutely no discomfort.
Though much has been written about good carbohydrates and bad carbohydrates, I tend to play it safe and eliminate virtually all of them.
I am not a rocket scientist but I sure know that simple carbohydrates like sugar or the death knell of any diet.
