Memorize the three verb groups and start looking at French verbs to notice how they follow certain rules. For example, many verbs ending in "-er" are conjugated similarly. There are exceptions, but many "-er" verbs will conjugate in the "I," "You," "He" and "She," "We" and "They" forms with the same endings. "Écouter" will conjugate, for example, in the same way as "parler." To clarify, for "écouter," "I listen" will be conjugated as "j'écoute"; "you listen" will be conjugated as "tu écoutes" (informal form) or "vous écoutez" (formal form); "he listens" will be conjugated as "il écoute" and "she listens" will be conjugated as "elle écoute"; "we listen" will be conjugated as "nous écoutons"; and "they listen" will be conjugated as "ils écoutent." For "parler," "I speak" will be conjugated as "je parle"; "you speak" will be conjuged as "tu parles" (informal form) or "vous parlez" (formal form); "he speaks" will be conjugated as "il parle" and "she speaks" will be conjugated as "elle parle"; "we speak" will be conjugated as "nous parlons"; and "they speak" will be conjugated as "ils parlent." - 4

Each day, study the verbs and repeat them to yourself, making notes and using the language as much as possible. Read each section on "French Tutorial" and familiarize yourself with the verbs and their rules. Longwood University suggested making flashcards to facilitate the memorization process.
