However, they run into difficulties when asked for the necessary ID by Wimbledon staff to enter the building.
If the address and ID doesn't match the original details, the tickets are confiscated and the unsuspecting buyer is escorted off the premises by police.
This happens a lot! The good news is that if you queue from about 8am on any day of the championship, you should be able to buy tickets that have been returned to the club for one reason or another or ballot tickets that have been confiscated as described above.
Most of these will be general admission tickets which allow you access to all areas with the exception of Centre and number one courts.
