Seaton is a lovely coastal town on that is located on the east coast of Devon with a classically English shingle beach and unusual cliff formations on each side of the harbour that has red cliffs on one side and white cliffs on the other side of the harbour. Seaton Valley Countryside Park Walk

Enjoy a 1 mile walk on the main track that runs through Seaton Valley Countryside Park, the walk will take you past a couple of large ponds that leads onto a wooded valley. If you need to take a rest then there are plenty of benches dotted around the park and also picnic areas where you can enjoy a spot of lunch.

Seaton Carnival is one of Seaton's most popular events that takes place every year, this week long carnival usually takes place in the last week of August.
The carnival includes a food festival and the Grand Illuminated Carnival Procession and also many more activities that the whole family can enjoy.
Seaton's Farmers Market
Visit the popular indoor market where you can buy regionally produced meat including Angus beef, Dorset Down lamb, rare breed pork and fish. This market is a great place to visit for supporting local farmers. As well as food there are also lots of other produce that you can buy, including sheepskins, baby blankets, knitting wool, cheese, cakes, plants, flowers, pies and bread. The market usually takes place on the 3rd Friday of the month.

Enjoy a talk by Doug Hulyer on the educational value of the Seaton Discovery Centre. Doug has spent the previous couple of years operating as a authority to EDDC on the Discovery Centre and is presently engaged on the styles for the inside and exterior of the building. Doug has spent thirty five years working with wildlife Trusts and also the Slimbridge and London Wetland Centres.
There will also be a presentation from Emma Sheehan and Sarah Gall from the Plymouth University about the Lyme Bay Marine Conservation Zone. This area is about to be protected for socio economic reasons as well as habitat quality.
