- 1). Unroll and lay out the garden fabric where you will be placing your rose garden box.
- 2). Cut the first board, using the hand saw, into two pieces. One piece should be 10 feet long, while the other should be 4 feet long. Repeat for the second board, giving you two 10-foot and two 4-foot-long boards.
- 3). Stand a 10-foot board and a 4-foot board on their sides, placing the ends together to form a corner. Nail three nails into the corner, putting one at the top, one in the middle and one at the bottom.
- 4). Stand another 10-foot board at the open end of the 4-foot board and nail the two boards together as with the first. You should now have another corner.
- 5). Place the last 4-foot board at the ends of the two 10-foot boards and nail both ends. When finished, you should have a rectangle with four corners nailed together.
- 6). Lift the rectangle box and place it on top of the garden fabric. Cut the fabric from the roll.
- 7). Add your top soil into the box, leaving at least 3 inches from the top. Now you are ready to plant your roses.
