Where Should You Go to Get Content For Your Blog?

103 3
Okay, so you've done what everyone has said to do and you set up your blog now what? Oh yeah, you need to post some content on your blog BUT you have writer's block because you're not very creative and you don't write well so what do you do now? For me to write a blog post is not that difficult because I like to write and I have those creative juices flowing 24 hours a day/7 days a week and I usually can come up with a topic and some bullet points in a matter of minutes.
But everyone is not like that so what you need to do is train yourself to be that way and I'll show you how.
I believe that part of why I'm able to come up with good content is because I try to expose my mind to a lot of different things.
I try to expand my mind with knowledge and new information daily to keep me going.
You can do the same thing if you take these steps.
Read Books: Reading is fundamental and you can come up with a ton of great ideas if you just read some books.
Personal development books for me are the best because that's what I'm good at, encouraging others.
What are you interested in? Find out what it is and read books on it and as you read them, keep something near you to take notes and then come back to them later and start to draft your article.
I've come up with many blog posts just on this technique alone.
CD's/DVD's: This is just like books for me because I can get so much information from CD's that I listen to or DVD's that I watch.
I can literally hear an idea or concept and take it and run with it and write a whole post from it and so can you if you put forth the effort.
Workshops/Seminars: How many times have you gone to a workshop or seminar over the weekend and got some great training information? This information can be transcribed into many different blog post.
Workshops and seminars usually have one main theme with many different topics discussed so take some good notes and write about every topic discussed.
Webinars: The one thing I really love about webinars is that a lot of them are recorded and when they're recorded, you can go back and review and really break down to subject matter.
This again is another source for multiple blog post.
If a webinar is about the Top 7 Ways to Recruit Members Into Your Business, you could do a blog post on each of the 7 topics or you can break it down into the first 4 ways for one post, then the last 3 ways for the next post.
Regardless of how you do it, just go out and do it.
Everyday Experiences: This is the most fascinating for me.
There have been so many times when I'm in my car and something pops into my head about a subject that I can write about.
When that happens I immediately take notes on it.
The way I take notes, especially if I'm in my car, is to use the voice notes feature on my phone and record the thoughts I have on the topic.
Then when I get home, I listen to the notes and start writing.
Other Blogs: There are so many blogs out there in the same niche as you that you should be reading them on a regular basis.
As you read them, you're bound to come upon one that is really interesting and motivates you to write about it.
If that happens, do it but just make sure you're not plagiarizing.
Put your summary of the article your read in your own words.
The Internet: The cool thing about using the Internet is that if you can come up with a topic first, you can research it and gather more than enough information to write a lot of good content.
I do this a lot.
If I want to write on Autoresponders I'll do a search and look at the information I get.
From there I'll determine what I actually want to write about as it relates to Autoresponders.
I may want to write about Good Autoresponder Services or How to Get the Most Out of an Autoresponder or How to Build a Money Making List Using an Autoresponder.
The sky is the limit.
There is so much information out there that you can literally write a blog post daily if you discipline yourself, be consistent and set you mind to it.
The one thing I would suggest is for you to BE YOURSELF.
Don't try to be like or write like anyone else.
Write as if you're talking to someone and it will become natural and in time it will become easy.
Trust me, this is how I got going and if you're consistent, you will be able to do it with ease.
I hope you got some great value out of this post! Give me your feedback by leaving a comment down below.
And if you really thought this was good, share this information with all of your followers and friends on Facebook and Twitter.
I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks! To YOUR Success, Rodney
