Your kitchen receives a lot of traffic and is one of the places you spent a significant amount of time in.
It is where you make breakfast in the morning and drink coffee, prepare lunch, or make dinner for your family in the evening.
It is where you have your beverages and snacks for the family.
So it is probably a good idea to get and keep this area organized.
These tips will help you out in the organization of your kitchen.
You will need to evaluate and go through everything you have in the kitchen.
Look at the items you use the most, the least, and items you never use.
Do you have things that no longer work or are broken? Are there any items you no longer care for and don't want? Get rid of these items by either selling them, trashing them, or giving them away.
Figure out the kitchens functionality after you have kept some items and gotten rid of other items.
What do you use on a daily basis? Give those items easy access by putting them in a standing counter container, possibly near the stove and try to get more drawer space.
How does your kitchen flow and what are the zones of your kitchen? Your cooking zone, the serving zone, and food preparation zone, etc.
Place things in their proper zones for accessibility if possible and remember convenience and flow when doing so.
You will next need to group items with like items.
Pots and pans together, plastic containers together, glasses with glasses, etc.
Do this exact thing with your pantry and refrigerator and freezer.
Keep your kitchen zones in mind when placing things around the kitchen.
Items you cook with and the utensils you use while cooking go in a zone.
Chemicals and small appliances go in the storage zone.
Glasses and dishes go in the serving zone.
Knives and anything use for food preparation go in the preparation zone.
You get the picture, you can have as many zones as you like.
Remember to group things a like such as in the pantry.
Snacks with snacks, cereals with cereals, canned items with canned items, etc.
If you have an assigned working kitchen, you will be able to find things quickly and easily.
Your tasks will flow smoothly and you will save time in the preparation of your family meals with kitchen organization.
