- 1). Gather information about the hybrid car by noting the exact make, model and year (e.g., Toyota Prius 2008).
- 2). Search for a local car dealer that supplies the hybrid car in question in either a phone book or via the Internet and contact them with a phone call.
- 3). Ask a representative if the dealer will remove and recycle the battery from the hybrid vehicle. If this is possible, schedule an appointment to have the battery removed and recycled.
- 4). Deliver the hybrid vehicle to the car dealership and have the battery replaced. The old battery should then be recycled properly by the dealership.
