How to Make an Angle Cut Using a Craftsman Table Saw
- 1). Unscrew the miter gauge's handle, which will allow you to move the gauge.
- 2). Rotate the miter gauge to the desired angle, then screw the handle tight to lock that angle in place.
- 3). Place a board against the miter gauge, which will hold the board at the desired angle against the saw blade. Position the wood against the saw blade where you want the cut.
- 4). Slide the rip fence over to the end of the board and tighten it in place. The rip fence ensures that the board does not stray past the desired position.
- 5). Turn the wheel on the side of the table saw to raise the blade to 1/4 inch higher than the board's surface.
- 6). Put on a pair of safety glasses, and turn on the saw.
- 7). Hold the board against the miter gauge, and push the board against the saw blade, making your cut.
- 8). Turn off the saw immediately after your cut has been made.
