  There are a number of summer youth programs in Fulton County, Georgia to help escape potential boredom. The programs are set up to provide fun-filled activities in a safe environment. Many of the programs are free to Fulton County residents. The programs provide a chance for kids to interact with others while learning.
  
  

ARTSCool

• The ARTSCool program provides teenagers an opportunity to earn money while learning about the arts. The program is sponsored by the City of Atlanta's Office of Cultural Affairs and is part of the Mayor's Youth Program. Participants in the program are required to help write a play and perform the play in front of an audience. The program is designed to expose teenagers to culture in a fun-filled environment. Participants in the program can receive transportation to and from the program.

Camp Best Friends

• Camp Best Friends is open to children ages five to 17 years. The camp is hosted by the City of Atlanta's Office of Recreation. Children can choose to attend the day camp, specialty or teen camp. Children can participate in several activities including tennis, swimming and basketball. There is a weekly fee for attending the camp. Employees of the city of Atlanta receive a discount. Low-income families can apply for a fee waiver.

Chastain Arts Center Summer Camp

• The Chastain Arts Center Summer Camp is open to children ages two to 15 years. Children take part in activities that incorporate visual arts and physical activities. Children learn about sculpting, painting and architecture during the summer program. Children also learn the art of improvisation. Each week, the camp explores a different theme to keep kids interested in learning and participating.
