- 1). Use the USB cable that came with your T-Mobile G1 to connect the handset to your computer's USB port. Use your finger to pull down the notification bar on your handset. Tap "USB Connected" and then tap "Mount" to enable mass storage mode.
- 2). Click "Open folder view files" when the Autoplay window pops up on your computer. Double-click the music folder. Copy the music files you want to play on your G1's music player to the music folder. Close the music folder.
- 3). Double-click on the ringtones folder. Copy the music files you want to use as ringtones on your G1 to the ringtones folder. Close the ringtones folder.
- 4). Pull the notification bar down on your handset again. Tap "Turn off USB storage." Disconnect the T-Mobile G1 from the USB cable.
