Making your own Halloween costumes allows your personality and creativity to show. Possibly, your local store does not carry the costume you are looking for. Perhaps you want to save a few dollars on your costume or perhaps you want to stand out at your party for originality. Many people prefer to make their costumes for Halloween rather than purchase one. - Candy corn would make a cute costume for children during Halloween. Many people have candy corn displayed in their homes. Making a candy corn costume would not take much effort. Orange, yellow and white along with some stuffing would make up this costume.
- For the little girl in your life that does not yet walk or crawl, consider making a mermaid costume. Your little girl will be sure to get plenty of oohs and aahs while you are out trick-or-treating.
- Most people have some form of hippie clothing and accessories in their homes. This costume would be rather inexpensive to make.
