Severed Hand

• 1). Pour sand into the surgical glove until the glove is approximately the same size as a human hand. Twist the wrist end of the glove closed and fasten with the rubber band.
  
  
• 2). Paint the "fingers" and the "wrist" red; add drops of red paint at random to the rest of the hand to simulate blood. Let dry completely.
  
  
• 3). Place the completed severed hand in a candy bowl, protruding from the candy. For another eerie effect, display the severed hand under the glass lid of a cheese plate, or in a canning jar.
  
  

Spooky Picture

• 1). Attach the artificial eyelashes along the edges of the eyelids on a portrait, following the directions on the package. Trim the lashes with the scissors if necessary to make them fit the portrait's "eyes."
  
  
• 2). Glue the doll eyes over the eyes on the portrait. Let glue dry completely.
  
  
• 3). Stretch fake spider webbing over the portrait's frame. Prop the portrait in a shadowy section of the room, or hang it slightly crookedly from the wall.
