The truth be told, after all the complaints about pregnancy are tallied up, most women really enjoy their time being pregnant. Now certainly, the number of pregnancies that a woman will have in her life are usually small in number. On average a mother will have two or three babies in their life time, occasionally you will find mothers who have more children. Either way, it's a time limited thing.

In pregnancy, there are some things that you come to expect that you will get to do during your nine or so months of pregnancy, like feeling your baby move, having a baby shower, etc.

This can be grouped together into a list of wishes, like a bucket list. I thought that it would be fun to write down what a pregnancy bucket list might look like. Now, know, that everyone's list might be really different, but these are generalities. You will have a chance to add your list items too!

  2. Having a positive pregnancy test.

  31. Going to the hospital or calling the midwife to come over.
  32. Laboring together.
  33. Holding your baby for the first time.
  34. Being alone, quietly with your baby.
  35. Watching your partner with your baby for the first time.

These are largely based on things that I enjoyed in my pregnancies or wanted to enjoy. What from this list would be on your list? What would you have that's different? Remember that you don't have to have a list that looks exactly like someone else's list - it is personal. You do not have to have something that is 50 items long, it would be fine to have ten really important items.

How will you share this with your partner? I like to have my husband write his down and we can compare, to make a joint list. When you're done, hang it up someplace where you can see it, be sure to include check boxes or even a spot for a date. It's nearly a quick baby book.
