A Credit to the Jersey Boys

I have always had a fondness for those great Motown/R&B influenced groups of the 1960's such as The Four Tops, The Drifters, The Temptations and The Four Seasons: of these, I am particularly fond of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons.
Now I'm quite lucky in this respect, as although I was around in the early 60's, I was too young to see any of those groups back then, however, fortunately many of them have recently made comebacks with various original members forming the core of these resurrected bands...
except, sadly, for The Four Seasons.
You can probably imagine my delight then, when the stage show Jersey Boys appeared and took the West End by storm; judging by the shows rave reviews, this was going to be my chance to get as close to the original band as possible and I made up my mind to go and see the show as soon as I could.
The show Jersey boys, tells the inspiring story of four blue collar workers from New Jersey (hence the show's name of Jersey Boys) who against all odds, succeeded in becoming one of the biggest and most popular bands in 1960's and indeed, early 1970's America.
By all accounts the performers' renditions of the Four Seasons' songs were close to perfect but additionally, they performed many of the band's classic favourites during the show; songs such as Sherry, Big Girl's Don't Cry, Working My Way Back, December 1963 and many more.
Getting a ticket for Jersey Boys was going to be a problem though; the show seemed to be a victim of its own popularity but fortunately I eventually found an solution; by going to the internet and booking both my hotel in London as well as my ticket to Jersey Boys, I could readily get a ticket allocated to me; one of the best available in fact...
brilliant; tickets to the show, a night in London afterwards and a bed for the night...
couldn't be better.
So what was Jersey Boys like? We'll I won't give away too much, but the storyline was executed brilliantly and entertainingly and the musical performances were utterly fantastic; I might never get to see Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons in person, but whilst watching the show, that didn't seem to matter any more; it was utter magic...
in fact, the Jersey Boys show was a fitting and touching tribute to the real Jersey Boys; Frankie Valli, Bob Gaudio, Tommy DeVito and Nick Massi.
