How to Soak Vegetable Seeds
- 1). Place the seeds into a container. If the seeds are large, place only two or three in a medium-sized container to avoid overcrowding.
- 2). Add enough room-temperature water to cover the seeds. Place a cover over the container, poking a couple of holes for air ventilation and to drain the water later.
- 3). Soak the seeds in the water overnight or at least 12 hours. Drain the water. Place the seeds on a paper towel long enough so the towel absorbs the excess water from the outside of the seed.
- 4). Plant the seeds in the preferred soil for the vegetable you are growing. Do not let the seeds dry out before planting them.
