    Appearance

    • The Dwarf Willow tree is actually a shrub. It grows no more than 8 feet high and has green foliage. Its many branches are a tan or brown color, droop at maturity and are smooth.

    Origins

    • The Dwarf Willow is a hybrid species, and as such cannot procreate. The parent plants of this species are the Retuse Leaved Willow and the Dark Leaved Willow. This hybrid originated in Germany.

    Considerations

    • The Dwarf Willow thrives in moist to wet areas. It will grow well when planted alongside streams, and can withstand occasional flooding. It also does well when planted among small herbaceous plants. It provides shelter and cover for small animals, nesting space for birds and nutrition for deers.
