On to Victory
If there is anything I've learned from that, it is that when good gives into evil, goodness dies.
I've seen others who have gave into the rising tide of evil, and I saw how it changed them, how it creates instead a new pain, a pain of guilt and betrayal.
How good is goodness if it never stands up to evil? If there is one good person, but they never do anything to show their goodness, how good are they? When good people do nothing evil spreads and consumes, and dominates.
The suffering of one can alleviate the suffering of many.
It's an eternal principle that was shown in the life of the Savior, and in His infinite atoning sacrifice.
War is evil; it is the devil's art, his game.
But if the good never stand up and fight that evil, then it will triumph.
By giving into evil, it would have only enabled more suffering, for us and for many.
Let's not enable the problems in our world, but let's try to fix them.
Uniting as individuals, not as to form parties, but as to defend and spread goodness, and push back the consuming tide of evil.
Let's not hesitate at the stench of the intentions and influence of evil men and women, but let's face it - not for ourselves, but for all those who might live in some measure of peace.
The truth will set us free, but the truth is not free.
We must fight, we must win, and we must triumph - in our individual lives and in our public lives.
We will win.
The victory may not be in sight and we may not understand everything, but we must go on in courage facing all foes that would relish our vulnerability to spread turmoil and destruction.
ON, ON TO VICTORY! The world needs heroes - people need heroes.
Heroes are not found in the military.
Heroes are not found holding guns.
Heroes are made every day when people choose to do good instead of giving into the evil and the tempting.
Heroes are people who sacrifice - doing good, being good, at their own expense.
You and I are heroes alike.
We face different wars on different worlds.
Our lives are not all that different though, we are all facing some sort of evil that fights to take control.
But we must not give in.
It is possible not to give in, possible to win - even when the odds are against us.
Good is stronger than evil - as long as it's active, not sitting on the couch dormant.
Heroes carry on for you when you can't for yourself.
Heroes live and love.
Heroes pursue to bless the whole human family, not just their private associates.
Heroes seek the, "Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness"(The Declaration of Independence), for everybody at their own expense.
"All experience hath shewn that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed.
