Move Your Mind Without Mindless Social Networks

103 11
Several studies have been done recently by sociologists and psychologists researchers.
They have found that students, which spend more time on social networks are less likely to get good grades in school.
This brings up a very interesting point because there are two lines of thought with regards to school.
One premise is that; "It is not what you know but who you know.
" The other premise is that those who graduate from the top universities make well over $1 million during their lifetime than those that do not.
One can certainly argue both sides of the coin and one can certainly understand that there are different types of people.
Nevertheless, it is quite interesting that those who "studied more" rather than spending time on social networks had both a higher IQs and better grades than those that did not.
So, if you want to move your mind forward and learn how to think logically, and more creatively, then you need to spend less time on social networks and more time thinking, reading and learning.
Many social anthropologists believe that the reason the human brain is so large is so humans could keep track of many people within their realm of primate politics, as social societies grew.
This may indeed be the reason for the large human brain, however the advent of agriculture also has something to do with it, as there would be more time to think, plan ahead and maintain a healthy diet year-round, allowing for a larger brain to get the proper nutrients.
No matter how you feel about this topic or which research you choose to use in your arguments for or against this premise; the fact remains that if you want to move your mind forward, you need to do it without spending too much time socializing with the mindless masses on the social networks online.
Please consider this at length, and all the ramifications for the future of our civilization.
