Releasing Your Passion
Have your passion and the drive you once possessed years ago seem to just walk out on you without an explanation? Those things that once drove you to the edge of you seat now no longer gets a second look from you.
Do you remember your light burning so bright for the things you couldn't get enough of or talked about for hours? What has happened to the very optimistic person who hung by my side and pushed even me to believe in myself and the possibilities of more? You use to play those grown up roles as a kid as what your passion would one day mold you into to go out and conquer the world.
Do you still think about all the many things you said you wanted to accomplish before your 30th birthday and how you were going to do these things? Have you ever stayed up late at night planning your destiny because you knew without a shadow of a doubt this would one day be yours?
Remember how you fought dragons, chased bank robbers and even saved the world with your super hero powers. So, are you wondering in your head what happened to this very special thing you once had. Has the ways of the world come along in your sleep and stripped you of the precious jewel or did the sparkle and appeal of passion elude you by our own doubts and fears over time?
Does it seem like yesterday you use to sit and listen to your grandparents talk about their childhood and how they rode wild horses and wrestled bulls and even went hunting for those big antler deer? Do you still remember those days? Do you remember when you use to watch those cowboy and Indian movies on television hoping and praying when the day came you would also walk around with a pistol on your side ready to shoot any bad guy in your way?
As a little girl do you remember hanging out with mom as she explained her childhood growing up as a little girl in the big city of New York and all the fun places she and her friends use to go and hang out? As little girls do you remember hanging out with your grandmother as she would show you her secret recipes and the best way to bake those delicious goodies she always hid from you?
Do you remember those times when you would dress up as a princess in your parent's attic with those beautiful wedding gowns your parents got married in long ago, along with the lipstick and high heel shoes? What about the dolls you use to play with and how one day you would marry your night and shining armor and live in a big fancy house and a big white picket fence with two kids?
You would giggle and laugh out loud when you talked about all the places you would see in the world and how you would shop until you are exhausted and eat at the finest restaurants. Your passion ran so strong in those days as a child and the innocence of youth had you so blinded with belief and purpose. Has the meaning of passion lost its vitality in your heart forever or can you restart the power that sparked you to look where you shouldn't have and played in spots that you were forbidden to ever go?
Look again in the old corner of your heart where you have forgotten and placed stuff like, life, stress, anxiety, fear, depression, anger, hopelessness, doubt, unbelief and illusions on top of passion.
Remove those things and reach down and dust off passion to place it where you can see it as a reminder that you still have it. Use it to ignite your future and take you places where that little boy or little girl wants to go. Ride the wave of life and enjoy the success you have inside you.
