For a woman, Pregnancy is probably one of the most awaited and celebrated moments of her life.
It is said that being pregnant is the essence of womanhood and this is certainly true because nothing really compares to holding your little angel in your arms.
That is why it is a good thing that you are prepared when you get pregnant.
Knowing what you will be going through is one of the best ways to become fully prepared for the nine months ahead of you.
Pregnancy is divided into three parts: the first, second and third trimester.
The first trimester is the period wherein the baby's brain, spinal cord, heart and other organs begin to form.
You would also be feeling symptoms of morning sickness, sore breasts as well as sleepiness during this time.
During the second trimester, you will be feeling the first kicks of your baby inside you.
The baby's sex also becomes evident during this period.
His organs would now start functioning.
The third trimester is an exciting time because it means that you are nearing your last days of pregnancy and you are looking forward to see your little baby and nursing him.
But you will probably also be feeling tired of being pregnant and are happy that it is soon coming to an end.
Now that you have a bit of an idea of what to expect from your pregnancy then throughout your pregnancy you should also be focusing on preparing for the time when your baby is out of your womb.
Getting the nursery ready with all the things you need to care for the baby such as a changing table, a bath and some soft towels to dry his sensitive skin and not to forget some nice smelling powder.
You also have to think about what you need of clothing and nappies are of course very important and depending how well you are off or if you are on a budget.
It is great if you can store up on disposable nappies which will make life so much easier when you first come home from the hospital with your baby.
However if you are on a budget there are places that sell nappies made of soft material suitable for sensitive skin.
If you are careful to use special soft soap powder and rinsing the nappies well after the wash they are great to use.
There are people who live in remote places and are not able to get to a shop often so they have to relay on the good old cotton nappies.
If it is your first baby you will probably get lots of clothes as gifts but you should make sure to have a few sets of body suits with long sleeves and legs to keep him warm your baby warm.
If you follow these guidelines then you should be well prepared for the last period of your pregnancy.
