How to Repair the Nozzle on a Husky Power Washer

104 3
    • 1). Turn the pressure washer off, and turn off the water supply when any problem is discovered, especially if no water comes out of the nozzle. Dangerous pressure levels will build up in the system if the problem is not corrected immediately.

    • 2). Push a piece of stiff wire through the hole in the nozzle to clear any obstructions. Back rinse the nozzle, then start the pressure washer normally. If the problem persists, repeat Steps 1 and 2 until the problem is corrected. Lubricate the nozzle regularly with a non-water-soluble grease to ensure proper nozzle function. If water leaks out of the nozzle, the nozzle needs to be replaced.

    • 3). Shut down the pressure washer if water pressure is irregular. Check that the hose quick-connects are connected correctly, and check the water-supply hose for any kinks. Disconnect the water-supply hose and check the screen filter for obstructions.

    • 4). Check the detergent suction assembly for any issues by disconnecting the high-pressure hose. Turn the water supply on. Water will come out of the front of the unit if the detergent suction assembly is in good working order. If no water comes out, the detergent suction assembly needs to be replaced.

    • 5). Check the gun and hose assembly if no other troubleshooting procedures reveal any other problems. Seals and O-rings may need to be replaced. If the main pressure washer unit seems to work normally, the gun and hose need to be replaced.
