How do I Send Money to an Inmate in a Florida Corrections Facility?

    • 1). Obtain the inmate's Florida Department of Corrections (DC) number. This number is used to identify an inmate in the Florida prison system, and it can be obtained online from the DC's website (see Resources).

    • 2). Obtain a DC-2303 Inmate Trust Fund Deposit Form. The form can be obtained by email or by calling the DC at 866-209-7260 (as of August 2010).

    • 3). Obtain a money order for the amount you wish to send. You can also use a cashier's check or certified bank draft to send money to an inmate in Florida.

    • 4). Fill out the DC-2303 form completely. Check the form to ensure the information is accurate. Incorrect information could lead to a delay in processing.

    • 5). Mail the form to the address on the form. Ensure that the address is correct. The form will be mailed back to you if the money is sent to the wrong department.

    • 1). Access the JPay website (see Resources). Type the DC number in the inmate search field, then click "Find." Click "Select" next to the inmate's name.

    • 2). Create an account using your email address and a password. Select a security question. Agree to the "Terms and Conditions," then click "Continue." Click "Login" under "Access My Account," then enter your account information.

    • 3). Click "Send Money" under "Send Money Now," then enter your billing information. Click "Continue."

    • 4). Choose the inmate by selecting the radio button next to his or her name, then click "Continue."

    • 5). Enter your payment information and how much you want to send, then click "Continue." Confirm the information you submitted, then click "Continue."
