• The Department of Textile Engineering at North Carolina State University is one of the leading textile programs in the country, offering both undergraduate and graduate levels of education. The Textile Engineering program at North Carolina State is accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, and focuses on four different concentrations of textile engineering: information systems design, machine design, textile product engineering and chemical processing. Students can also study plant design and layout, machine and wet process design, and creating textile products. The textile engineering program also incorporates classes from other engineering disciplines, including mechanical, chemical, materials and industrial. • Georgia Tech's school of Polymer, Textile and Fiber Engineering offers graduate and undergraduate degrees. • Philadelphia University offers graduate and undergraduate programs in textile engineering. The mission of the school of engineering and textiles is to prepare students for entering into a profession where the use of electronics, control systems and automation have shrunk and mechanized the processes for fabricating textile products.
