• Dress up your birthday party table with place cards. Make your own place cards or use websites that offer free printable place cards. Make homemade place cards from construction paper and decorate them with glitter or stickers.
  
  

Birthday Games

• Start a child's birthday party by having party goers make a game they can then play. Use poster board, finger paint, a blindfold and construction paper to create a version of the classic game "Pin the Tail on the Donkey." Paint the kids' hands with finger paint and have them place hand prints all over the poster board. While the paint dries, each child creates their own markers out of construction paper. Once the poster board is dry, hang it on the wall. Game contestants wear blindfolds and place their markers on the poster board. Whoever gets a marker on their own hand print is the winner.

Birthday Crowns

• Merge a free "Happy Birthday" craft idea with an activity for party goers. Have children make crowns using construction paper, tape, markers, glitter and washable glue. Cut out the crown shapes for the children and have them decorate the crowns. Guests wear their crowns throughout the party.
